Affirmations (again)
Adding to last week’s blog we’re back at affirmations (again)!!
We’ve been here before via a couple of previous blogs so let’s review what a successful affirmation is. A successful affirmation occurs when you:
make a declarative statement using yourself in the present tense
state in an empowering way what you do want
are clear and specific
elicit emotion and feeling
keep it simple, if possible, in one sentence
In last week’s blog, of the 5 (1a to 1e examples listed), the affirmations arising from them might look like:
I am sleeping soundly and awakening feeling more rejuvenated after getting to bed only 15 minutes earlier each night.
I love my meditations and have started to add longer ones in during the week. My mind is centered and at peace. My vitality is at 8/10.
Choosing sobriety, I love how much more I am getting done each day. I am clear-headed and focused, which I love.
My menu planning is terrific as my body, inside and out, feels really good from eating really good food. I especially love my morning juicing. My food is high-quality information entering my body.
I am fully enjoying my return to Bikram yoga and boot camps twice weekly, I feel relaxed, more flexible and stronger.
So play around with your affirmations. Write them down and read them throughout the day. Post them in a place where you will see them often. If stated out loud that’s even better!
