What is tapping you on the shoulder?
Got a concern bothering you?
An ache that doesn’t go away?
Some thought niggling away at you?
All of these are messages through the body/mind asking us to pay attention. How often do you ignore them?
I am sure you have experienced the same thing as me: When we ignore, don’t pay attention these feelings, thoughts, or “aches” they do not go away. Well they might for a bit, but they rear their little heads in another message or through a greater signal at a future date.
As I have experienced, when I’ve overridden these messages, they end up smacking me between the eyes. “Okay, now I am listening.”
So what can we do?
Make the time to simply notice, perhaps journal the feeling, impression or thought you are experiencing. DO so without judgment, simply notice. What does your instinct tell you about the meaning behind the message? What are you observing about yourself or the situation that’s led to your awareness?
So tune into the “feeling” or “ache” vs. tuning out through a distraction (i.e., work, TV, food, alcohol, etc).
Can you explore the origin of this experience? Are there related situations showing up in your life? I’ve found that the most difficult process for me to apply even though I know the importance of it is to sit in stillness to experience myself. Meditating, visualizing, tapping (EFT), Qigong, Yoga, Tai Chi and other body work can help bring the subconscious to the conscious so we may work on it further.

Often we need to release old patterns which are no longer serving us. Through releasing them we can heal the hurts, re-integrate and revive to greater self awareness and free up energy through removing those blocks. Those blocks have been taking up mental, emotional and physical real-estate. We’ll often experience a shift when released.
