When was the last time you wrote out 100 successes? Never? A few years ago perhaps? Don’t think you have 100?
Perhaps you’re asking why would ANYone in their right mind want to waste time doing this?
You see, you are far more accomplished than you realize. Technically you were born a winner because in utero, the sperm that made you, beat out millions of others in the race of conception – you. Bet you never thought of that one.
How often have you compared yourself to others. Did you come out on top? Not that it is a race of course, but ideally your template should be to compare yourself to the Best version of you.
Recognizing what you have done helps build those “feel good” chemicals and emotions allowing you to be and do more. Plus, when you are in a slump, it’s amazing how reading your 100 successes is a great way to shift your focus from the pity party to “Wow, look at me!’
Having trouble in deciding where to start? If you need some help, try thinking about when you were a little tyke and work it forward.
The first success for each of us was already mentioned. You are the winner over millions of others to be conceived. Next really is birth, another success, so we each have at least two.
To help a bit more, success could be learning to tie your shoes, riding a bike without training wheels, graduating from grade 1, making your mother breakfast in bed for mothers’ day, your driver’s license, or it could be volunteering to help an elderly couple with their shovelling. Whatever it is, you’ve got them, so I ask you for 100 successes.
So let’s do an experiment. Write them down. You don’t have to write them all out today, but get at it.
Let me know how your feel when you’re done. I really want to know.
And, let me know if you want my 100 successes posted.
