In March, I attended an event in Barrie supporting Camphill Communities Ontario. What Camphill does in our community for raising the self-respect, and creating independence and community for challenged individuals is quite remarkable! While I could write much more about this group, today my focus is on the honouree for that evening: That honouree is Donna. Donna is an accomplished journalist, editor, author, community activist, organizer and facilitator of over 1000 self-employed business owners. She has a tremendous track record! Sad or Happy, It’s Your Choice. What’s Your Truth?
I saw an interesting post by my friend Gloria who is one of the happiest people I know. She travels the world infusing happiness from her heart and giving freely. She posted a summary from an interview with John Stewart, a Canadian expat living in Kamalaya, Thailand, who owns a holistic wellness resort. I was delivering great chiropractic care and giving her home routines, plus advising strategies for managing her stress: Yet she changed nothing. She'd come in complaining, but not be invested in doing her part. One day I finally had it. Tired of hearing her whine, I asked her how she … [Read more...]
Have a Heart

In my own journey, it is an eye-opening realization that the people who are truly happy are the ones who are authentic and work from a place of unconditional love. It begins with self first, then they radiate outward to others. It matters not how much they've got, their pedigree, their school, business or how many degrees they have. While achievements and heart-warming accolades are wonderful in themselves, they can be empty unless realized through an open heart and sense of “oneness” or connection … [Read more...]
