It’s interesting how things come about. Successful Living, Successful Marriage is the title of a new ebook I am involved with, compiled by my dear friend Jose Gomez MD. To get your FREE copy of the book, use this link Successful Living, Successful Marriage ebook.
The question he asked me to write about was: “What are the best suggestions that you can recommend to married couples to create a happy marriage?” I immediately knew I could speak about this since I’ve been in a fulfilling, happy marriage and relationship since the 1980’s which continues to develop, grow, excite, and expand. My chapter is on how to “Build Roadmaps to a Vital Marriage”.
If we consider our life as a fascinating journey to a destination unknown, we find there is no “right” way to get to any one point. It’s the journey itself, what we experience, how we contribute, how we grow, and who we become in the process that is important to us. Sharing our journey with another person deepens our human experience and we can consider ourselves fortunate when we find a soulmate to share this with. After all, to bond is human.
As Lewis Thomas said, “It is beyond our imagination to conceive of a single form of life that exists alone and independent, unattached to other forms.”
Marriage, however, doesn’t come with a road map. We self-navigate and there may be times we get lost along the road and need to reset our compass. Perhaps we need to reset our expectations because we’re out of gas, get a flat, or experience an accident. We may experience delays, detours and roadblocks.
